Where have I been?

I have just realized that it has been some time since I have posted anything of depth or humor. Life seems to role that way for me at times. The kids are out of school. My mother in law flew out from CO for a week and we just returned from a short jaunt to Idaho. Life has been busy in the "I have a list a mile long of things to do" kind of way. I am ready for a break and eager to dive into a few artistic projects to nourish my soul. I have two more inquiries from stores showing interest in selling my cards and to do that I need to purchase supplies and find a little quiet time. What I really want to do is sit under a very large shady tree and quilt a few more beads onto my current quilt project or lose myself in the great little gold gilded poetry book I found at an antique store. What is more likely to happen this week is a very fun and messy paper mache project with my children. I cant complain, messy is stress relieving and fun in it's own simplistic form.

I have some interesting pictures of fireworks from over the fourth of July. Like usual my Husband went completely crazy and spent the evening smiling and laughing that evil little boy laugh of complete enjoyment from blowing things up. My mother in law was here, we had a few friends over and had a really nice relaxed BBQ after lazing around the river watching the kids swim. It was HOT but it was nice.

So off I go, to were I do not know. Whether housework, literary desire or creative need will win out is anyone's guess. For the moment I head to the freezer to take something out to grill for dinner tonight. I will try to return and post some pics later this evening.
